Wildlife

The Unaweep Canyon is home to many creatures big and small. Unique species exist all around, so please tread lightly and observe from a distance. It's not uncommon for large herds of elk to be seen as we are located in a migration corridor. These large animals often travel in groups with as many as 500 head or more. You may here them chirping or bugling at times. But these creatures are harmless and they only add to natures splendor.
